TOTAL FIRE BAN AUGUST 9TH, 2018

The County of Warner and the Village of Warner has implemented a Complete Fire Ban effective August 9, 2018 as of now.

 

All Fire Permits have been suspended.  No new permits will be issued until the Ban is lifted.

 

This Fire Ban includes all open fires including; campgrounds, burning barrels, burnpits, backyard campfires / fire pits and municipal landfill wood burn pits. 

 

The extremely dry and hot conditions have led the municipality to implement this Complete Fire Ban.

MUNICIPAL INSPECTION NOTICE

A municipal inspection for the Village of Warner, Alberta is currently underway as directed by the Minister of Alberta Municipal Affairs. Strategic Steps Inc. personnel have been appointed by the Minister to conduct this municipal inspection.

Any person who wishes to provide information related to the management, administration and operations of the Village of Warner is welcome to contact the appointed municipal inspector directly as follows (email is preferred):

VILLAGE OF WARNER FIRE BAN

Due to the warm and dry conditions in the area, and the long-term forecast for continued warm weather. As of 3:00 p.m. on July 12, 2017 a Fire Ban has been imposed in the Village of Warner and will remain in place until conditions change which reduce the Extreme Fire Hazard. The Fire Ban includes all open fires within the Village of Warner including all burn barrels and recreation fire pits.

The ban excludes those fires which are contained in cooking or heating appliances fueled by fluids or gasses.
