Actions the Village of Warner is Taking:

The Village of Warner will be requiring the following in our buildings as per the September 15th, 2021 announcement by the Government of Alberta:

  • 1/3 fire code capacity in our buildings will be enforced. Please contact the coach or family member of the hosting team to see if there is room for you to come and watch your child or relative. 
    • We have measures for disinfecting and distancing to keep our patrons safe. Please follow the signs and distancing required in our arena.
  • We will not be requiring proof of vaccination at this time (please see note about Recreation Facilities below however).
  • As per Provincial mandate, masking is required in all indoor public buildings.

Note: Exceptions to the REP are youth aged 12-17 years while participating in activities. 

We understand that there are varying opinions on these restrictions, the Village is asking patrons of our facilities to be respectful to our staff, these mandates are required by the Government of Alberta and are subject to inspections. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these new restrictions together.

Additional Reminders 

a. Participants are asked to arrive to the arena with their water bottles filled, this will limit the contact at the water bottle re-fill station. 

b. Skate sharpening will be available at this time. 

c. Canteen Services will be offered at this time.

d. Participants are asked to refrain from spitting anywhere in the facility. 

e. Washrooms will be available and cleaned regularly. 

f. Any individual who refuses to follow the prescribed guidelines will be asked to leave the building as they are jeopardizing the ability for the facility to stay open to the public.
