Parenting Services


To increase the knowledge and confidence of parents/caregivers, thereby building resiliency, healthy families, and improved child and adolescent development.
  • FCSS Family Services provides quality parenting information and support to families in a variety of ways:
  • Group and one-on-one parent education;
  • System navigation, information, and referrals to appropriate resources; 
  • Developmental screenings – Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ);
  • Referrals to early childhood home visitation program, South Region-Parents as Teachers.


Children & Youth

To support children and youth through programs and services that promote developmental and age-appropriate skills, including executive functioning and leadership.



Senior Services

To help preserve seniors’ independence, FCSS provides programs and services to both seniors and their families. These programs enable seniors to make choices that will improve their health and well-being. Programs and services available to seniors and their families are as follows:
  • Presentations/Seminars: Presentations are offered on a wide range of topics to support the wellness of seniors in their everyday lives.
  • Information and Support: Seniors, families, and caregivers can receive information on a variety or resources, including personal directives, Alberta Seniors Benefits, and Old Age Security benefits (among others).
  • Intergenerational Programs: Connecting seniors and youth allows them to share knowledge and develop local friendships.
  • Referrals: FCSS is well connected with other community organizations. If we are unable to support you, we will find someone who can!

Lethbridge Integrated Coordinated Access**

To strengthen and support individuals, families, and communities by providing professional counselling services to residents experiencing stress or difficulties in their life.

FCSS offers up to 10 free, short-term, goal directed counselling sessions as needed, including:

  • Individual (10 years – 75 plus), couples, and family counselling.
  • In-person, phone or online video sessions.
  • Group programming (7 years – 75 plus).
  • Workshops / Seminars.
